How Ridgeback Rescue Began
Ridgeback Rescue was born from a deep love for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and the quiet heartbreak so many of them carry. Through no fault of their own, Ridgebacks find themselves displaced when families face unexpected change such as relationship breakdowns, job loss, homelessness, illness, or the passing of an owner they loved.
A small group of passionate volunteers has grown into a dedicated national network committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and carefully rehoming Ridgebacks across Australia.
We believe every Ridgeback deserves stability, respect, and the chance to thrive, no matter their past. And we believe owning a Ridgeback is a privilege, not a right.
