About Ridgeback Rescue Australia
Rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Rhodesian Ridgebacks across Australia.
How Ridgeback Rescue Began
Ridgeback Rescue was born from a deep love for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. Some of the dogs who come to us have carried quiet heartbreak, and many are deeply loved by owners who simply need a hand for a while. Sometimes that looks like a temporary foster while an owner is in hospital or moving house. Sometimes it means finding a new forever home after a relationship breakdown, illness, job loss, or the passing of an owner. Whatever your story, we're here to listen without judgement. There is no wrong reason to reach out.
A couple of passionate volunteers has come together to rescue, rehabilitate, support and carefully rehome Ridgebacks across Australia. We believe every Ridgeback deserves stability, respect, and the chance to thrive, no matter their past.
At RRAINC, we believe strongly that being owned by a rescued or rehomed Ridgeback is a privilege, not a right!
Our Vision
A future where no Ridgeback is left behind, where every dog has a loving home, and every owner is informed, supported, and empowered to care for their companion.
Our Mission
To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Rhodesian Ridgebacks in need, while educating the community about responsible ownership and the unique needs of the breed.
